IN CHRIST WE LIVE

Many live today both really don’t have life; Christ makes the difference. Our lives as believers are of God through Christ. Col 3:3 say;

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God”

Born again Christians are dead to self and alive in Christ because you have been;

“...crucified with Christ: nevertheless I (you) live; yet not I (you), but Christ liveth in me (you): and the life which I (you) now live in the flesh I (you) live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me(you), and gave himself for me(you)” Gal 2:20

We can then conclude that once you give your life to Christ, you literally don’t have any right as it were on your own life. You are therefore answerable to Christ because He is your landlord. As it were you are a tenant in His house.

Finally, in Christ is the safest place to live because He is;

“...a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe” Prov 18:10

Hence, whatever or whoever wants to reach you in any way either to harm you or otherwise must first of all conquer Christ because He is both the way and the strong man whose treasure you are, Mark 3:27;

“No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house”

Also confirmed in Luke 11:21 saying;

“When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace”

IN CHRIST WE MOVE

What does it really mean to move? To make a move is to experience change. Moving is therefore directly proportional to change. To move could also mean progress. However, it is possible to be moving without making progress because if you are moving in the wrong direction, you cannot be said to be making progress. If moving means change or progress then, 2Cor 5:17 applies by saying;

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”

Everyone who has and will ever me Christ experiences a change. For instance, the man at the pool of Bathesda had been stagnant for about thirty-eight years until he met Jesus, then he began to make progress speedily, John 5. Also Apostle Peter was a poor business man who had nothing to show for his efforts and professionalism until he met Christ then his business took a skydive to an extent that he needed partners to handle its expansion, Luke 5.

So many instances of notable changes and progress in and outside scriptures have their root in Christ. It wouldn’t therefore be absurd to conclude that;

“...without me (Christ) ye can do nothing” John 15:5b

Finally, it is obvious from the above scripture that trying to achieve anything without the involvement of Christ is vain. To further affirm this, Psalms 127:1-2 say;

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep”

It even goes on to say that doing extra hours for extra pay at work doesn’t avail you anything. So it is possible to building and labouring without results until Christ steps in. You will therefore agree with me that, no Christ, no move/progress. It is that simple.

IN CHRIST WE HAVE OUR BEING

This is one of the most awesome of all the benefit that accrue to being in Christ. It is as important as others but carries much weight because it embodies so many other benefits. I call it “the onion benefit”. Now it reads thus;

“For in Him we...have our being...” Acts 17:28

Your being is the totality of who you are ranging from your health, marriage/relationships through your carrier/ministry and job etc. You will agree with me that your being is as good as your relationship with Christ. One change on meeting Christ just leads to another in succession. Let take the young man that was born blind in John 9 as a case study.

He was born blind; came in contact with Jesus and everything changed, his status and identity so changed that he wasn’t known when he returned seeing. Apart from all that, you will agree with me that that man who was born blind but now seeing on meeting Jesus could now pursue a carrier, build his house, get married and bare children etc now that he had met Christ.

Conclusively, having our being in Christ should inspire meet Him now if you have not yet given your life to Him or develop a closer fellowship Him. Have you not read that;

“There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand” Prov 19:21

That is why you are admonished to;

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass” Psalms 37:5

Also in Prov 16:3, you are admonished to;

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established”  

This is another typical Ark of Naoh which will be taken up soon; be wise enough to enter it mow lest you have yourself to blame both in this world and that which is to come. Shalom!

NAME YOUR PRICE

I think you should read this again friend!

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight” Mark 10:51

When you don’t know what you are worth, you will be made to accept whatever is offered for you. It is being said that “once the purpose (worth) of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable”. You can abuse yourself if you don’t know your worth. Psalms 82:2 says;

“...Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes”

In other words, you have no choice but to accept the fate of ordinary men as long as you don’t know that you are gods. You must get to know who and what you are worth. This you can do successfully by studying ardently the word of God which is the manual of your creation.

Now, our opening scripture is an event that took place during the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus. He was passing through a region when a blind beggar called for His attention with a loud voice. He cried the more even when people tried to shut him down. But Jesus heard him, stopped and sent for him. Jesus went on to ask “What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” Wasn’t that strange for Jesus to have asked such a question seeing that the man was blind?

Jesus wanted to know his price. In other words, he was asking the man to name his price; what can I do for you? What am I capable of doing for you to best of your knowledge of Me? Sincerely, Jesus had to give the blind man an open cheque in case he wanted anything different from the restoration of his sight.

Conclusively, a few lessons worth learning from our case study is that; Jesus always answer calls or prayers as you may know it and then name your price, He will pay because He is both able and willing. Don’t just settle anything, what do you really want? Is a definite question which requires nothing but a definite answer. In case you have been stock here, be free now in Jesus. Live as a god in your world, which is your real worth.  God bless you.

WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

The death and resurrection of Christ was to restore man to his place of glory, victory, abundance, upward and forward life. However, when man sinned in Genesis 3 and God came checking on him as at other times, the response of man to God was that he discovered that he was naked and he hid himself from being exposed to shame. Sin naturally puts to shame its victim.

God went on to ask "...who told thee that thou wast naked?..." Gen 3:11 in other words, who have you been listening other than Me that has corrupted your mind? This short exhortation is to check us on who we call our friends and mentors because they really go a very long way in discovering  our destiny. The day you begin to order your steps after anyone other than God, you've missed it.

Conclusively, there are so many of you who want change yet are unwilling to do away with certain companies. You just find it difficult to severe those friends off. You want to live a life full of success? Let God's word be your only guide and listen to no other, Psalm 23, John 10:4-5.
