GOD IS SET FOR YOU TODAY

Text: Psalms 118:24 “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it”

INTRODUCTION

Every day is the Lord’s made day. Now everything God makes is always very good and that includes today, Gen 1:31. Before anything is satisfied made, everything must already be in place. God does not deal in half-baked deals. Whatever, He has chosen to do He must have decided to bring it to completion. Every yester-day that has passed was once today and every tomorrow is coming to be today. Every day passed through today.

Many especially in the body of Christ have this belief that a particular day is set for them to receive one thing or the other from God. But I have come to tell you that every day is the Lord’s Day; today is your set day for you to receive your Financial and Ministerial breakthrough, healing, job etc. God is set for you today; until you come to this point in your life you’ll be stalled.

Hence, every day comes with diverse packages for the enviable living of mankind and we’ll be looking at a few of them in a moment. Life is meant to be abundant when you give your life to Jesus however; many are still crawling today because of their ignorance of what I will be sharing with you now.

WHAT COMES WITH EVERY DAY?

A. Salvation- 2Corinthians 6:2 says;

“...now is the day of salvation”

This is why when salvation is being preached it is emphasized that procrastination could be dangerous because in most cases, the tomorrow you are waiting for might not come. You must do all you can to always seize the moment because the next moment isn’t in your control. Hence, salvation comes with everyday in other words; provision is made for the salvation of souls every single day. However, it is essentially a matter of choice. Give your life to Jesus today because tomorrow may be too late.

B. Healing- In Mark 5:25-34, we read of the woman with the issue of blood that lasted twelve years until she met Jesus. Physician who always gave appointments have failed and worst of all, she had lost her fortune to that predicament. So, invariably what she now wanted was someone who would either heal her for free or at the worst on credit, then Jesus came through for her. Jesus will come through for you today.

Hence, because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, Hebrew 8:13 she didn’t need to book an appointment with Him. Jesus never had a specific office where He attended to people or a clinic where He ministered healing to the crowd that thronged Him daily; He simply went about doing good. Where He meets you is His office for that moment. Healing comes with every day; that is why I know that it doesn’t matter for how long you’ve been tied down by whatever predicament, as you lift up your hands today calling “Jesus thou son of David”, He will stop to attend to you.

C. Provision- Philippians 4:19 announce God’s benevolence in supplying all our needs according to His riches in glory. God does not need to give you an appointment to meet your need. He has all it takes to do it now. Something very humbling happened in John 2:1-11, there was a wedding ceremony and Jesus and His disciples were present on invitation. At a very crucial point in the ceremony, they ran out of wine and pandemonium was all over with shame knocking hard at the door of this newly wedded couple, Jesus attended to the situation on the spot and shame took to its heels while the raging pandemonium was silenced. This is just to tell you that there is no level of need that is either too much or late for Jesus to meet.

Furthermore in John 6:5-13 Jesus saw the need to feed His audience which numbered about five thousand men save women and children. The looked seemingly impossible that Phillip said;

“...Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little” John 6:7

The end result of every matter Jesus gets involved in is always determined from the beginning. They all eat to satisfaction and had leftover. I have good news for you, those needs in your life that looks very impossible to be met will be taken care of by Jesus today.

D. Paying Debt- When you run to God to rescue you from the shackles of debt, He wouldn’t ask you to come back later. He attends to you right away. You are here and neck-deep in debt, the Lord ask me to tell you “it is settled”. Just a quick reference from scriptures, a Prophet in the Old Testament died leaving his wife with two sons to cater for and a huge amount of debt to wipe off, 2Kings 4:1-8. She tried settling these bills on her but couldn’t, in anyway if she couldn’t with her husband how could she think she would be able to offset the bills alone?

Her debtor decided to take her two sons to slavery since she couldn’t pay so she ran to Elisha the Prophet and explained her predicament to him. Because God will not allow His own to see corruption He attended to her with a sense of urgency to avert the shame fast ravaging His servant’s memorial. Having settled her bills she had a leftover that lasted them a lifetime. Listen to this carefully, that debt that is fast eroding your dignity is wiped off now in Jesus name, Amen.

E. Prosperity- God made His heart-beat known in 3John2 saying;

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”

In other words, prosperity is God’s will for you and that is why He makes it a point of duty to release it on a daily basis. Believers are destined to prosper in season and out of season because Psalms 1:3 says;

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”

 The prosperity of the saint knows no bound or restriction of neither time, day nor weather. God knows that the reputation of any King is measured by the standard of living of his citizens. He in the same vein sees it a shameful thing to see believer’s poor. So that no limitation whatsoever stands against anyone, He tied our prosperity to a covenant made with Abraham, Deuteronomy 8:18 says;

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”

Glory to God, that covenant is still active today and you and I were included in that bond. Your role in that covenant is spelled out in Joshua 1:8 and it reads;

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”

You will not just succeed but have “good success”. Key into this covenant now if you are already born-again because what you don’t know most times is what arms you, Hosea 4:6. Act now that you know.

Conclusively, I have just mentioned a few of the goodies that accompanies every single day; any good thing your mind can either imagine or think about is in today; your house, car, finance, daily bread etc are all in today. Claim what is your now however; you can partake of this abundance and open doors if you are not safe. Lest you are your own antagonist, say this prayer after me please “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, please forgive all my trespasses, wash me in Your blood and give me a new beginning as I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour from now on, Amen”. Congratulations, you can now join us in harnessing the benefits embedded in today because God is set for you today. God bless you.

GIANTS BEGAT GIANTS

Every living creature produces after its kind and not just its type. In the same vein, the same principle applies in seeding and harvesting; you can’t plant maize and expect to harvest wheat. Scripture says the one who does the reproduction of kinds Himself cannot be mocked for no man reaps anything different from what is sown.

Hence for you to be crossed with yourself or any other because of the way things are going with you is absurd because it could only be the dividend of what you have sown. At this point you will agree with me that your life lies practically in your own hands. You know Jesus said you should do unto other the way you want to be treated. That is simply the principle of sowing and harvesting.

Interesting and unfortunately for many, the creator of Heaven and Earth has covenanted that as long as the earth remains in other words, as long as you are alive and living on this planet seedtime and Harvest shall not seize, Genesis 8v22.

He is indirectly telling you that as long as you live and want to continue living especially a successful life, seeding must be your continuous exercise which you cannot retire from. Once you stop sowing, you start dying.

Also worthy of note is the fact that it is seeding that has specific timings while the harvesting doesn’t simply because it will be obvious. Without digressing too much for you to reap fulfilment in life you have got to sow the necessary seeds such as Time, Focus, Quality Planning, Proverbs 24v27, Dedication (Deadly Commitment), ardent studying of God’s word, Joshua 1v8, 2Timothy 2v15, Think Differently, Isaiah 8v12 etc.

The above seeds amongst many others are expected to be sown of you before you can be considered a candidate for distinction in life.

Now fully back to the subject of giant birthing giants; like I already shared some time ago in one of my epistles that it takes a man of honour to bestow honour on others. But when we talk about man ability to bestow honour on another; no man wants to raise any other above himself which is the greatest limitation you are faced with in trust man for help.

King Pharaoh could at his best as a proof of his appreciation raise Joseph to his second in command, Genesis... let see Mark 6v22-23, even though King Herod asked his daughter who had impressed him through dancing to ask for whatever she will, the highest price he was willing to offer was half of his kingdom. The same thing goes for King Ahasuerus in Esther 7v2 who also could only give half of his kingdom. This is a true saying; man is limited in the help he can render to another.

However, it is a total ball game all together when it comes to God blessing man. In Genesis 1v28, we are told that God created man in His own image and likeness. When this same God was to send someone to die in our stead, He sent His only begotten son Jesus, John 3v16. When Jesus was leaving the world in flesh, He gave the glory the God head gave Him to us, John 17v22.

Conclusively, when God gives He does so abundantly, John 10v10b; He wouldn’t give you exactly what you need or asked of Him but much more than you could ever imagine, Ephesians 3v20. This is to say that there is no limit to what God can give even Himself. 1John 5v4 says;

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world...”

In other words we are born with God’s full ability in us. By reason of our nature we are empowered to do what God can do. That is why Jesus spoke with so much zeal and pain as it were that we are gods because we are children of the most High God, John 10v34, and Psalm 82v6. Are you getting anything into your spirit at all? You cannot but be moved in your spirit.

So, the product of God who you are is God in His entire person. Living in you is the trinity i.e. God the Father, God the Son (The Word), and God the Holy Spirit. You are a giant not by choice but by nature. And to solidify our affirmation on this subject lets see 1Chronicles 20v6-8;

“And yet again there was war at Gath where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was a son of the giant. But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David’s brother slew him. These were born unto the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servant”

From the above scripture we can deduce our conclusions on giants birthing giants; you will discover that only giants birth giants. In the same vein, only giant killers can successfully birth giant killers like David was able to reproduce after Himself.

Dear friend, if you ever want to make anything meaningful out of your short time on earth it will be wise to subscribe under the Lordship of the Giant of all giants. Let Him duplicate Himself fully in you or better let Him activate the Him in you. I discovered that God shared His attributes in all the different creatures but He put all in man so, I became aggressive and began to look forward to the lion in me to emerge and also the tiger in me to emerge and so on.

You can do the same now and I assure you it wouldn’t be long before the world will began to celebrate you. That you are hearing me now is a proof that something in me is in emergence already. Acknowledge the truth I have shared with you and watch your life move in only the upward and forward direction. Glory!

EXPECTATION PRECEDES EXPERIENCE

Text: Matthew 24:42 “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come”

INTRODUCTION

Expectation precedes experience in other words; the foundation for every desired result is expecting it. This will be evident in your preparation for it. In the same vein, you don’t expect to have a result for an examination you never sat for. The lame man at the beautiful gate in Acts 3:5 was said to have given;

“...heed unto them (Peter and John), expecting to receive something of them”

Expecting is a way of placing a demand on life to deliver the abundance He offers, John 10:10b says;

“...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”

As open as this offer may look, your signature of expectancy must first be appended for you to enjoy the abundance it offers. This is where faith comes in; it is your faith by which your desire is formed and delivered to you that is being created in the place of expectation. The purpose of salvation is the richest of any purpose under the Heaven because it offers life to the fullest. Let’s look at a few areas one could be expectant;

WHAT AREAS AM I TO BE EXPECTANT?

A. Heaven- You will agree with me that we are all pilgrims here on earth and that we have an eternal home where we’ll all return. For believers, it is heaven while it is hell for the unbelievers. So, paramount on the list of our expectations as believers must be heaven. Making heaven must be a conscious part of our daily living. Matthew 6:33 says;

“...seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness...”

Even scripture categorises it as first but unfortunately many today seek the last in place of the first. Your heart resides where your treasure is in the same vein, lay up your treasure in heaven so that you can end up there because expectation precedes experience. What you give attention to will always deliver its dividends to you. As Christians, we must give God our utmost attention to have our expectation converted to experience.

B. In 3John 2, scripture says;

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”

It is the will of God that we live in Divine health. Jesus did not just heal during His earthly but He made whole leaving no trace of the ailment on its victim. That is why I know beyond all reasonable doubts that everyone here with one ailment or the other, diagnosed or not, as you give attention to Jesus from now those ailments will melt away in Jesus name, Amen!

Blind Bartemeus had heard that one Jesus of Nazareth is on rampage healing diverse sickness and working miracles. So, he made up his mind in expectation that when he gets a hold of this Jesus, he wouldn’t let him go until He has healed and so it was, Mark 10:47-52. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34 amongst many isn’t excepted from the catalogue of men and women who expected and experienced as expected.

C. All Needs- Everything you have and will ever need for a glorious living by heaven’s standard are wrapped up in God and I mean just everything, Finance, Wisdom, Ideas etc. John 1:3 says;

“All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made”

Everything you desire or will ever desire has only one source and if any other shows up, it is the way of the thief, John 10:1. If you receive anything on any other line than that of faith, it is a stolen property in your possession. Faith is your access to meeting all your needs; for without faith it impossible to convince the giver of all things. Hence, the just shall live by faith, Hebrew 10:38.

Furthermore on this note, there is nothing you need that wouldn’t have to follow the track of expectation before you experience it in other words, until your expectation has appended its signature heaven is not obliged to release it. Matthew 24:42 admonishes us to be on our watch because we don’t know when the Lord will come in other words, only those expectant will have something or one to welcome. When the Lord eventually come sickness, barrenness, poverty etc are bound to flee.

Conclusively, Matthew 6:32b reminds us that God is aware of our needs and not our wants while Philippians 4:19 assure us that He will supply those needs to us according to His riches in glory. Though not according to our own timing but His timing during which whatever He gives is most needed and beautiful, Eccl 3:9. To crown it all and to boost your faith, Romans 8:32 further assures us that if God didn’t spare His Son (Jesus) and He released Him to die for us when we were dead in sin, what could be too much for Him to give us? If you’ll be true to yourself in answering the above question, you’ll realize you are already on your way to the supernatural.

If you are not saved then you are not safe; give your life to Jesus now as you say the following prayer “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, please forgive all my trespasses, wash me in Your blood and give me a new beginning as I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour from now on, Amen” Congratulations and God bless you.

DEFILING DIVINE ORDERS

There will always be two sides to a real coin. Such is the case when we talk about subjects as divine orders. Joseph followed through and was rewarded but let’s look at a man who thought he could follow his own plan or order to arrive at God’s destiny for him. We will learn a few lessons from him.

Jonah was a Prophet of God by calling. However, God sent him to Nineveh but because he didn’t like the people of Nineveh personally he changed course, Jonah 1-4. The first point to note here is that God will not send us to where He doesn’t have plans to visit, Luke 10v1 so your interest in them isn’t a criteria for your obedience. Your opinion isn’t needed, just obey!

So Jonah decided to go to Tarshish instead but the bible says; “...so he paid the fare thereof...” Jonah 1v3b. Another point worthy of note is that he had to pay for his decision because it was of course. I once heard of one President who was charged by his country for stopping over for two hours in country on his way back from his official visit to another country. Now, that’s here on earth, how much more in heaven? Our God is One of orders so you can’t choose your route and expect Him to pay our fares, it doesn’t work that way. Many are stuck here today so you had better retrace your steps. You can’t make plans outside divine order and expect Him to finance it, no!

Jonah decided to go down to the lower deck where God wouldn’t see him. What a foolish man and in case you think you can hide from God, you are only fooling yourself. Eventually as the ship began to sail a storm arose. The Sailor tried all the techniques he knew to balance ship but couldn’t. So they began to off load the ship into the sea hoping to lighten the ship but the storm grew worse until they resolved to cast lots and they found out it was Jonah that was running away from God.

It is crystal clear that some persons are going through storms of various degrees because of the ship they are in. Be it court-ship, relation-ship, partner-ship etc. I think it time you take stocks and retrace your steps back to where you missed it.

Jonah knew he was the problem so he said they should through him into the sea. Reluctantly they did it and a big fish swallowed him, of course you know the story.  Eventually the storm ceased. But note the magnitude of lose recorded on that ship and if they hadn’t discovered Jonah their lives would have gone. Many have died untimely because they were aboard with someone running away from God. So prayerfully chose your partner.
Jonah spent three days in the belly of the fish and then repented. I am sure you know it wasn’t a fun ground in there. God heard him and ordered the fish to vomit at the bank from where he took off to Nineveh to do what he was sent to do there initially.

Conclusively when you compare this two case studies, you will discover that they both had divine orders but while the former followed he’s regardless of the tribulations on the way knowing that the one who sent him is watch-guarding him the later took off on his own course. God created us and know what capacity He built into everyone. Unfortunately the course we eventually choose is to our detriment.

Make following your divine a pursuit from now on and watch it, the things that you’ve struggled with for years will be delivered to you on a platter of gold. Just say this prayer of committal to this course;

Lord Jesus I choose to follow your divine order for my life henceforth, accept me and give me all it takes to scale through to the end in Jesus name, Amen!

FOLLOWING DIVINE ORDERS

Taking off from where we stopped yesterday, in Genesis 37 Joseph comes on board divine order and one thing you must take to heart is that divine order positions you in life. In other words it defines your place because everybody has a place in life. Joseph caught a glimpse of a glorious future and was expectant of it fulfilment which was evident in the boldness with which he told his dream to his brethren even though he was hated and envied, when he dreamt a second time he still told them again.

But thing took a dramatic turn. Which is to say, of a truth you have so many beautiful promises pending but you just have to pass through the tunnel of trial. Unfortunately the tunnel can’t too many people at the same time which accounts for why you hear people lament “why me” “why me alone after all things are working for so and so despite the fact that we graduated the same year. And I even had a first class” I am sure you are conversant with such lamentations. That was exactly where Joseph was when he landed in the pit, Genesis 37v24 and in a few hours time on his way to Egypt as a slave. This was virtually the opposite of his dream but it was all divine order on the way to fulfilment.

I am sure joy is already welling up in you as our discussion is beginning to take the shape of what you are going through now. I have good news for you, just a little patience and you will be at the end of the tunnel. Tunnels are not naturally bright unless they are lightened. And you can imagine your speed in a dark tunnel. It will soon be you turn to arise and shine for your light will definitely come.

Joseph got to Egypt and was sold to Potipha, Genesis 37v36. However the Bible says; the Lord was with him all the while even as He is with you now, Genesis 39v2. He became the head of slaves in his master’s house. He found favour with his master because God was with him so his master put him in charge all he had except his wife.

Interestingly as though this was a fulfilment of his dreams. After all he is a master and a few people are bowing to him. This look like the dream coming through but because he understood this subject of divine order he wouldn’t settle for anything less than his dream. Even when he was tempted by his master’s wife in Genesis 39v7-12, he could have mistaken it for the fulfilment of the dream because he would have a wider range of coverage as it were. But he understood that God wouldn’t use corny ways to fulfil His promise. After all He owns all things, of who will make God be afraid that He will have to lie or play pranks. 

Unfortunately Joseph landed in prison for following divine order. The prison experience was a part of the divine order or plan because God was still with him, Genesis 39v20-23. He became the leader of other prisoners in prison to such an extent that the Jailer put all things in his care, Genesis 39v23. Divine order!

Finally he saw rays of light having travelled through the tunnel all these years when Pharaoh had dream that disturbed him so much. It was all by divine order. Or hasn’t he been having dreams all this while? What made this one different? Now the solution of the Kings Dream riddle was with a prisoner in divine order.

Let me take a break to tell you that there is something in you (Talent) that will be needed at the ivory tower where you have dreamed of all this while. I am glad to let you know that it lies with you alone and no other is competing with you to solve it. On the other hand you will leave such a vacuum on earth if you don’t live up to it.

To cut the long story short, Joseph unravelled the king’s dream and the king thought through seeing that this young man has come the divine order way. Because it was on the basis of the order he engage in unravelling the dream that he was enthroned above others including his former boss who put him in jail, Genesis 41v37-45.

Conclusively his dream came through on the line of divine order. Though it was hard but he understood that he was following a divine order, Genesis 45v5 saying his brother sold him but God sent him. Taking a vivid look at the way he left home we can easily deduce that God had a hand in it because his father wouldn’t allowed him to go anywhere outside his reach or even do any hard job considering how much his father loved him. My good news for you is that you will eventually rule over all those who thinks’ they have successfully sold you out in Jesus name, Amen!
