LEVELS OF FAITH 2

LITTLE FAITH
I have always said this that God will never be more committed to you than you are to Him that’s why He said “Draw near to Me and I will draw near to you” James 4v8 hence I have established the fact that the level of your faith defines the level of exploit you will operate and how much you will function in the school of faith.

However, in Matthew 8v13-27 Jesus in the convoy of His disciples were crossing a river in a ship on missions and there arose a great storm as they sailed. Jesus on His side was already sleeping on a pillow in the lower deck of the ship. Having tried to control the situation and didn’t succeed, only for it to grow worse.

Suddenly they remembered that He who specializes in doing whatever defies all human effort was sleeping in the lower deck. So, they resolved to wake Him up rushing down to Him and saying;
“Lord save us, we perish” Matthew 8v26
Jesus arose majestically like a king who He was and said to them;

“...why are ye fearful, o ye of LITTLE FAITH” Matthew 8v26

However, He rebuked the storm and everywhere was calm again. What therefore are the characteristics of little faith which can be deduced from this testimony? They are;
They speak defeat after trying and failing for a while. In other words they give up too quick.
It is fearful.

It is therefore obvious that you cannot do much with a little faith even after you have seen some feats of faith. You easily conclude they were mere coincidence as the storm gets too wild for you. You find it easy believing God for small things and not big ones then anxiety sets in.
You know what level you fall, you will need a beef up of your faith because the bible says; “if you fall in the day of adversity, your strength is little” Proverbs 24v10. So, little faith has a high tendency of failing you in the day of adversity. Beef up in faith.

GREAT FAITH
Communication is incomplete when there is no response from the receivers’ end or when the response does not tally with the message sent by the encoder. Many have been Christian for years and yet nothing is working for them. One barrier that can always stand between you and your breakthrough is either your inability to decode (revelation) the message sent (God’s word) by the encoder (GOD) or you are sending a wrong response back to the encoder (God).

However I have said that a conception of believe in God’s word births’ faith and faith in turn births’ hope then hope deliver’s your expectations. So, a great conception will always deliver great expectations.

Jesus on one of His mission trips to a country was met by a woman who begged Him to come and heal her daughter but He answered her not a word. She persisted and despite the fact that she wasn’t given any attention, she still worshipped and begged Him further. Then Jesus answered her saying;

“...it is not meet to take the children’s bread and to cast it to dogs” Matthew 15v26

Hence the children Jesus referred to are those who are Abraham’s children by faith, Galatians 3v7 and this woman was from Canaan which is not a lineage of Abraham. For us, healing is our bread, a common food that nobody outside the fold is entitled to such as we have. But this woman made a very remarkable statement in response to Jesus’ claim that moved Him, hear her;

“...Truth Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which falls from their master’s table” Matthew 15v27.

It was so shocking that Jesus said;

“...o woman great is thy faith, be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour” Matthew 15v28

 Divine health is our heritage and I am a living testimony to that claim. It’s our daily bread. Even those outside know that is true. Only a great faith will make God to jump the lines to reach out to you and I see God jumping the line just to attend to you. Also, only a great faith will make God to break all protocols to attend to you and I see God breaking all protocols just to attend to you. From the scripture above we see Jesus break protocols, giving the children’s bread to a dog on the ground of her great faith. I will want us to be very careful so as not to miss out on this grace of God being made available to us through faith. The last is fast becoming the first. God’s words are fast becoming realities, Matthew 19v30 says;

“But many that are first shall be last and the last shall be first”

However, great faith posses the following characteristics;
They know the truth i.e. they are word addicts
Qualifies the unqualified
They are persistent and wouldn’t settle for anything less than the best.

Moreover, your faith regardless of its level except for the faithless level will always produce as long as you are able to argue your case through God’s word. You will realise that children today are wallowing in breakdowns while dogs are breaking through because they are persistent and word addicted. Beef up your faith.
