WHAT IS THIS FAITH?

FAITH IS A TICKET

Having a visa doesn’t guarantee your entry into another country. You need a airplane ticket to get you aboard a flight heading to the country for which you been issued a visa. Faith is your ticket into a world of endless signs and wonders. It keeps you above all else, sickness, poverty, death, calamities etc.

Salvation exempts you from going to hell and partaking of all that pertains to it but your faith is essentially your access into the treasure house of God. Without faith you wouldn’t be allowed into Eden to enjoy yourself regardless of how long you have been born again.

Interestingly your being born again will expire or fizzle out just like visas do because you didn’t service it. You service your salvation van with faith. Alongside you’ve got to grow your faith to meet up for the need of the moment as the tribulations on earth get fiercer.

Anyway without throwing you off balance, have faith in God as instructed in Mark 11v22b. Believe in God’s word. Have your rest in the integrity of His word that whatever He has promised He will, Numbers 23v19. Also that with Him ALL THINGS are possible, Mark 10v27b.

FAITH IS OUR SHEILD

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked” Ephesians 6v16

We established earlier on that faith is above all else. The devil can’t stand faith. Just what a shield does for a soldier at war is what faith does for a believer in this wicked world.

FAITH IS OUR VICTORY

“...and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith” 1John 5v4b

1John 5v19 confirms the fact that the whole world lies in wickedness so we can’t afford to live without an active shield. The darts of the enemies are flying all over the place so we need of faith shield to be on stand.

JESUS IS OUR FAITH

Hebrews 12v2 calls Him the author and finisher of faith. There is none beside Him. Comparing scriptures with scriptures, you will see that John 16v33 tallies with 1John 5v4b. Jesus says:

“...In the world ye shall have tribulations but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” John 16v33

So Jesus is our faith. Hebrews 12v2 says that we should keep our gaze on Him. You can’t afford to be out of faith for a split of a second. God doesn’t have any pleasure in those who turn aside from faith, Hebrews 10v38. However according to Romans 10v17, the word is the source of faith and Jesus is the word, John 1v1 without whom you can do nothing. In other words, if there had or is anything that looks like something being done outside faith; it wouldn’t stand the test of time. God bless you
