PRAISES AND THANKSGIVING (1)

Praises and thanksgiving are pleasing to God more than any other thing. You will get the best from God when the two are combined. Until these two becomes your life style your life wouldn’t be exceptionally colorful.

“I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God” Psalm 69:30-32

Every creation whether living or non-living has its fuel for living. As PMS is to cars so is Diesel to Lorries in the same vein, for any plant to remain alive water must be supplied it. This same principle applies to man; the food that keeps man fully alive is not Rice, Beef, Chicken etc but the inspiration of the Almighty i.e. the Word of God. Jesus said in Matthew 4:4;

“...Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”

Hence, just as the word of God is the fuel that keeps man going so is Praise to God and this He can’t manufacture for Himself that’s why He created man to give Him praise. Now God is dependent on His creature to feed Him with praise while His creatures are dependent on Him for inspiration however, it is important for us to note that while God can be without His creatures His creatures can’t be without Him. For you to have any noticeable raise in life, you must be praise-full. When you give God praise, He lifts you up.

The musicians understand the tactics of praise in exploiting their fans. All they need to do is eulogize them and they will empty their pockets on that musician. Thanksgiving on the other hand is one very potent key when it comes to opening doors to glorious destinies. It pave ways where seemed to be no way. In Luke 17:12-19, Jesus healed Ten Lepers but one returned to say thank you and Jesus went a step further to making Him whole. This is to say that thanks giving gives you an edge over others.

Give this introduction a thought today and then we’ll continue our exploration of praises and thanksgivings tomorrow however, begin to practice praising and giving God thanks if not for anything but for life and by the time we meet again tomorrow you’ll already have testimonies. Enjoy your day!
