WHAT IS
RHEMA?
Rhema
is an underlying fact. Hence, the dictionary gives a synonymous meaning to the
definition of rhema;
Information
revealed: information that is newly disclosed, especially surprising, or
valuable
Surprising
thing: a surprisingly good or valuable experience
Disclosure:
the revealing of something previously hidden or secret
Christianity
demonstration of divine will: a showing or revealing of what is believed to be
divine will or truth
Scripture
says in Philemon 1:6;
“That
the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of
every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus”
In
other words, there most first of all be an acceptance of the said i.e. RHEMA
before you are permitted to see or enjoy its dividend. Rhema is not just to be
read or heard but must be acted upon to actualize or kick it into effect. For
the sake of our study in this series, we are made to understand that Rhema is
winged. How true is this assertion? Ezekiel 2v2 reads;
“And
the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet...”
Also
in Revelations 4:1-2, we read;
“After
this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice
which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up
hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit”
Furthermore
Malachi 4:3 sheds more light on this subject of Rhema saying;
“But
unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in
his wings...”
Rhema
is a lifter, catalyst and courier of destiny. Once it find its way into your
life, it takes you up on its wings. All that you will ever require to fulfil
your God-ordained destiny are on the wings of Rhema. It gives speed to them
that contact it. In John 6, Jesus’ disciples were travelling in a ship when
they were slowed down by a storm; Jesus decided to join them and that He did by
walking on the boisterous sea to meet them. They were afraid when they first
saw Him thinking it was a ghost, and then He said;
“...It
is I; be not afraid. Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately
the ship was at the land whither they went” John 6:20-21
Hence,
Jesus is the revealed word of God because John 1:14 says;
“And
the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the
glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”
Let God do the worry while you do the living because it can only get better. God bless you.
