A WAR OF WORDS (1)

PREAMBLE
We live in times when so many voices are clamouring for our attentions and you might be wondering, why? It is because we live in a dispensation of grace where your faith in God delivers all things to you on a platter of gold.

However faith is produced as a result of God’s word we digest into our system according to Romans 10v17. And in Luke 22v31-32 where satan had concluded his intentions of using Peter to betray Christ, Jesus came to his rescue by addressing his faith.

We can hereby conclude that His word is our faith. Now according to Luke 22v31, satan’s target is our faith which is God’s word indirectly. It wouldn’t be premature to conclude that the world of a believer is that of “a war of word”.

So every circumstance of your life will naturally bow to you the moment you are decked with the right words. Let’s have a look at few instances when circumstance bowed to Jesus by the instrumentality of the word. Until you have won with words you don’t make any move or else you will be doomed.

In Matthew 4v1-11, Jesus had been fasting for forty days and nights respectively when He suddenly began to feel hungry. Then satan showed up to help solve His hunger problem but for each option he gave, Jesus responded “it is been written...” what had been written? Words! And the bible says the devil left Him alone.

Listen to me brethren. You can’t challenge any situation with God’s word and not be free. If Jesus who is the word Himself couldn’t do without it then we can’t afford to move an inch without it.

Jesus walked on the boisterous sea to meet His disciples in their boat which was experiencing a storm at that time, Matthew 14v2-32. Then Peter asked Him to please command him to come on the water and Jesus gave him His word. Peter walked on the boisterous sea at the command of the Master.

It all boils down to the efficacy of God’s word. He knew it wasn’t safe for him to jump on the water without Jesus’ command. Your war is essentially that of words. But a deficiency of the right words keeps you at the victim’s ends. Don’t move until He has commanded you to do so. In other words until you hear God concerning any matter, don’t move.

Your day wouldn’t be palatable if you have not gotten the go ahead of the Master. In all things acknowledge Him first.

A Centurion once sent for Jesus to come and heal his most effective servant. Jesus promised to come in person but the centurion being a soldier and having an understanding the move of the wave of authority through words sent again unto Jesus while He was still on His way that He shouldn’t bother coming in person, that all He needed to do was to send His word and what He would have done in person would still be done, Luke 7v1-10.

We can hereby say that God’s presence is as potent as the presence of His word. Your most effectively servant is your word and you can’t afford to lose him to any form of sickness. Call on the Master now to help heal your words. Spend lots of time with the word and your world will be transformed, Romans 12v12.

You are men and women under authority, when you say “Go” they go and when you say “Come” their opinion is not needed. Use the authority at your disposal to free yourself from the shackles of the enemies. No enemy can question the authority of the word, never!
