POWER PREGNANT TITLES!

Every name has power or honour backing it wherever it is being mentioned. However, a title is more power packed than just a name. In other words every title is power pregnant i.e. it is pregnant with the ability to perform. If you go to an office where you are referred to the Director and you tell the receptionist “Mr Jonathan” sent me to see the Director of this organisation; the receptionist might just offer you a seat for courtesy and further ask you “which Mr Jonathan” because so many people share the name Jonathan.

But when you go further to say “The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, the receptionist will jump to his or her feet and say “I am sorry sir” then, direct or usher you straight to the Director’s offices. I tell you the truth; you will meet the Director on your way coming to meet you because you came under the authority of a title.

Until Blind Bartimaeus called one of the titles of Jesus as He passed him by on the highway where he begged for alms he wasn’t attended to. Someone might pretend not to have heard his name being mentioned but no one can pretend not to have heard his title because no one shares it with you; if any at all you all carry power.

As I studied this morning and read through some scriptures that revealed titles of God by which He has and will always reveal Himself to mankind; the Holy Spirit whispered to my spirit saying “titles are power pregnant” in other words, titles possess within them the power to perform. Your title is your office and every office has a level of authority attached to it.

Hence, the title of your father determines your title as a son or daughter. For instance, the son and daughter of a man who has the title of a king are called Prince and Princess respectively. In the same vein, as children of God who has so many titles amongst which is the “King of kings”; you have been redeemed as Princes and Princesses by reason of the acceptance of Jesus as your Lord and saviour, Revelations 1v6.

Now the King has all the right to send his Prince to go represent him at an event; the Prince will be accorded the respect that would have been accorded the king if he were the one that came in person. This is exactly what we are doing here on earth; we are occupying His place till His return. However, let us use the next few lines to highlight some of the titles of God; remember I told you that God’s titles are directly proportional to His ways of revealing Himself to mankind.

He is God (Alpha and Omega, Beginning and Ending, First and the Last, Creator of all both living and non-living), He is “I AM”, He is King of kings, He is wealthier than the wealthiest and gives the power to get wealth, He is Lord of lords, He is Amen, Healer, Restorer, He is Elshadai, He is Jehovah etc; these and many more titles are avenues through which God show’s up whenever He is called upon.

Conclusively, God expects that we display this same splendours as His children; He has decided to display His splendour through you and the only way that can work is for you to accept Him; much more that you are entitled and will be accorded the same respect as He would have been accorded if He were here in person.
