THE AMBASSADORIAL WALK (1)

Kings or mostly men of honor are recognized amongst the multitude by the way they carry themselves such that some ordinary men as it were are mistaken for honorable men because they share similarity of carriage. However there are lots of supposed honorable men outside there today who are mistaken for touts because of the way they carry themselves.

Let us focus our attention on the walk of the kings and Ambassador for Christ. 2Corinthians 5v7 says;

“For we walk by faith, not by sight”

The walk of faith is a honorable one and that is why it has been chosen as the official mode of walking for the Ambassadors of Christ. Hence the walk of faith is a spiritual walk, making progress spiritually with physical manifestation as evidences. You cannot walk by faith and remain among men; God takes you over like He did to Enoch, Genesis 5v24 says;

“And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him”

As a new creation your life is lived through Christs', Colossians 3v3-4. You cannot walk with God and remain among mean men, never! He will always take you up. God is a spirit and a successful walk with Him can only be achieved by the spirit. You spirit or mind as you may be familiar with him must be very alive and active.

To walk in the spirit is the direct opposite of the physical i.e. it is not a journey that you set out on like moving from Lagos, Nigeria to London, UK. It is essentially spiritually. We are told that Christianity is spiritual all through and you must be ready to give up the physical to gain it. You cannot have both at the same time. Galatians 5v16 says;

“...Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh”

It is highly expedient that you forsake one for the other. However, you cannot live by the spirit if you are not conversant with the dictates and rule that guides spiritual living which you can only get by ardent study of God’s words, Romans 10v17;

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”

In other words, the spiritual world is only accessible through the word of God. As you read and meditate, you are carried off in the spirit. Several times did we read of Prophets who lived such lives, for instance Ezekiel;

“And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me” Ezekiel 2v2

Also Apostle John amongst many others;

“I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day...” Revelation 1v10

You cannot successfully walk with God if you are not a word addict. Only word hungry men dine with God. A very good example is Mary in Luke 10v42. Jesus confirmed that in John 14v23 saying;

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him”

Also in Revelations 3v20 reads;

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me”

This also tells us how much God wants to dine with us but we cannot because we have refused to open our hearts unto His word. God's word is God speaking, John 6v63. His word is live not an archive! We feed not on staled manna as many think. He is knocking now, open your heart to Him and He will come in to dine with you. A man of God prayed for me some years back and when he was through he asked if I was related or have any root in royalty and I said, no. He went on to say that he saw me dine with Kings as he prayed. Then I caught it because he was right according to Revelation 1v6;

“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father...”

Friends, because birds of the same feather flocks together I know where I belong. However, the way I carried myself when I was even younger had been with a sense of humor which many mistook for pride. I almost dropped my life of honor for mediocrity until I further discovered from God’s word that I actually belonged to a royal family called the faith family (Christians), Hallelujah!

I did not start dressing the way I do today when millions started rolling in but even when I had a few shirts and trousers, I carried myself as if I had factories which supplied me textiles. What you see today did not start today but from the days when there was less than nothing. Glory be to God, today the spiritual life I lived back then is bring forth fruits.

Hence, we are spirits because we are dead, Colossians 3v3 says;

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God”

We are dead because we were crucified with Christ Jesus on the cross however we live, Galatians 2v20;

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”

Once man dies he becomes a spirit which makes it much easier to commune with God who Himself is the Father of all spirits. The moment you identify with Christ by giving your life to Him, you automatically take up his type of body, 2Corinthians 5v15;

“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again”

In other words, the body we wear around is not ours anymore but Christs', Galatians 3v26-27;

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ”

Christ is now our body.  Lets pause here and tomorrow we continue our ambassadorial walk as ordained in Christ by God.

Regards.
