THE OLD WINE SKIN (2)

Hope you are good today. Good to have you back on board so, lets move on.

Except you are not fed up of the way you are living, now tell me, will it be hard for you to adapt if you are suddenly promoted to leave with the President, being waited upon by waitress and co? Why then is it hard for you to embrace this new life with a different mentality and not the old one? May be you don’t get it.

The way you dress, walk, even your eating manners will have to change when you assume living with the President; that is the message I am preaching. Living with Christ should be different from the ways you are used to. The one we are discussing is greater than the President in fact, He is the one who enthroned the President and He is even gentler because the President would have ordered that you are thrown out and even punished but Jesus keeps calling for a change, but for how long will He do that?  

Moreover, the call is for a change of mentality for a new status not for His own good but for your own. Hear this story from Matthew 22v1-14;

“A very rich man had a banquet and he invited his rich friends but each one began to give excuse as the banquet was ready, what did he do? He didn’t get angry. He simply ordered his servants to get on the street and bring in to the banquet all they see, just anybody they come across, but there came this man not properly dressed and the rich man asked him “how did you get in here?” without waiting for an answer he ordered that he was thrown out and punished”

What does this short story teach us? That the one who is inviting has the choice to reject anybody with any lapses. That you should get ready for your breakthrough. As He promised you? He will fulfill His promises. For instance, if a job is what you are believing God for then, every morning get dressed awaiting a call for an interview and it will show-up for you. Also, are you weak in any part of your body? Get up every morning and frequently try doing does things you were never or too weak to do before now and never stop saying "I have the life of God in me". However, that you didn’t come at all is a different issue, it might even be for the way you danced at His party and you are liable to being punished.

Remember Jesus said that the wine-skin is liable to breaking if the new offer of salvation is put into it. In other words, you are liable to a life punishment if your wine skin breaks in the process of you trying to force the new wine into the old wine-skin. However, in case you do not know that the breaking of the wine-skin means lose; it might even be that of life and also a waste etc?

The new wine is too expensive for you to waste even a drop out of it. That wine was brewed with the life of a man; I mean it was bought with a man’s life in exchange. Which man is Jesus Christ, for this reason it pains Him so much seeing you languishing in poverty when all you need has been paid for and all He is calling you to do is just come and take what belongs to you. But because he is not a man with a humus body, He needs your FAITH (an act on His word), a changed mind and your readiness to adopt a new life style.

Confession
Salvation has brought me a new life therefore, I refuse to further languish in Sickness, Poverty, Distress etc in Jesus name, Amen!
