ON WINGS LIKE THE EAGLE 2

As we continue on this subject, let’s quickly have a word shower that will wash away every inferiority complex causing you to blossom under any circumstance henceforth. Let’s read Isaiah 40v29-31

“HE gives strength to the weary and increase the power of the weak, even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those that HOPE in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint”

You will realize that the key for standing in the midst of the fallings today is your HOPE IN THE LORD, which some other version puts as WAITING on the LORD. Now to hope in the LORD connotes trusting who He says He is. When Moses asked Him, when I get to the Israelites who do I say sent me? HE said tell them that I AM, THAT I AM sent you to them, Exodus 3v14. In other words I am who you say I am. I am what I have ever being. So, giving you a new name would not be necessary because I already have more than enough and many more are still being formed by the day of course. God has a new name at the dawning of every new day.

Now the eagle is a very unique bird that has this majestic ways of doing things. Always very strong because of its way of renewing its strength, it is said that the eagles goes to the top of a very high mountain, with its beak pluck off all its feathers and then remains there for forty days of course without food. During which new feathers grow and at the end of forty days it has a new set of wings ready to soar any height.
In other words its strength is renewed. Its uniqueness makes it one creature that the strength of a man is likened unto. So if we do what others are doing to fail we are simply signifying our interest in failure.

Hence, our text records that those who wait or hope in GOD will have their strength renewed, how? Have a regular shower in the word of GOD and you will see your strength build up in the face of any circumstance any time and day. I think that’s the climax of the whole matter however, the strength generated is called faith and the Bible says faith cometh by hearing (regular shower in the word of GOD) and hearing by the word of GOD, Romans 10v17.

In other words strength is being generated in you as a result of your depth in the word of GOD or your strength is directly proportional to your word intake. Scripture says if you faint in the day of adversity, it means your strength is small, Proverbs 24v10.

God bless you as we continue and probably conclude this exiting subject tomorrow.
