Like I established earlier that it will take an
honourable person to bestow honour. You might then be wondering how you fall in
that category but I will show you in a moment;
“Ye are
of God little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is
in you than he that is in the world” 1John 4v4
Your life is a precious one; a beautiful and
costly one at that. The above scripture throw lots of light on this fact. It
says “greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world”; I can’t
imagine any higher life than this.
You are honourable anywhere and anytime.
Except that most people have refused to see themselves in this light thereby
wallowing in dishonourable and unpleasant situations and circumstances. It is
in you; that is why Apostle Paul could boldly say;
“I can
do all things through Christ which strengthen me” Philippians 4v13
Everything you touch becomes gold because you
are honourable. In the same vein, it doesn’t matter how dishonouring your job
might be; it becomes an honourable one when you are involved. I have had to
drive persons at different time as a job and because of the way I carry myself
been mistaken for the owner of the car. On several occasions, Police officers
have had to exclaim “so you are not the owner of this car sir” and they end up
saying “may God bless you with yours”.
Especially in Nigeria, you know that the man
driving a car is a driver because of the way they dress. I hardly had a boss
that didn’t envy my mode of dressing even as a driver. I tell my friends, for
the call of God upon my life I would have loved to be a Chauffer by profession
driving the President.
Your carriage is very important if you desire
to command any respect of have a seat among the great, Proverbs 18v16 says;
“A man’s
gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men”
Also Proverbs 17v8 says;
“A gift
is as a precious stone in the eye of him that has it: whithersoever it turns,
it prospers”
Honour is a gift to you from God by the Holy
Spirit and gifts are precious especially this one. So you just walk in the
reality of it but remember you can alone give what you have. God bless you.
