RENEWED TO BE TRANSFORMED 2

 HOARDING AND POVERTY STRICKEN MENTALITY
I was discussing something similar to this with a sister and I told her amongst many others that you must first get fed up of where you are before you ever think of moving forward. For instance, the prodigal son got fed up of feeding on pod meant for pigs before he ever thought of going back home. In the same vein somebody reading this epistle must be fed up of his or her present circumstance to make any meaningful advancement.
It is true that the sins of our fore father committed threw us out of EDEN but the death and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST has returned us back to EDEN, Revelations 5v12 says;

“...worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive POWER AND RICHES AND WISDOM, AND STRENGHT AND HONOR AND GLORY AND BLESSING”

 Unfortunately, many Christians today still live in this EDEN with the outside world mentality which is totally contrary to what it’s to be. This mentality is that mentality that left EGYPT with the children of ISRAEL. GOD made efforts to change that mentality, Exodus 16. He made bread available in the form of manner to the children of ISRAEL and gave specific instructions to re-program their minds, Exodus 16v16-19;

“This  is the thing which the LORD has commanded: let every man gather it according to each one’s NEED, one ormer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent…had no lack...let no one leave any of it till morning”

Now as long as they did according to the commandment they didn’t lack until their mentality reversed, see what they did in Exodus 16v20;

“Notwithstanding they did not heed MOSES. But some of them (but many today) left part of it till until morning (hording, so what happened to what they horded?) and it bred worms and stank and MOSES was angry with them”

Today, it is not MOSES but GOD HIMSELF who is angry with all who do such things.

Hence hoarded money or anything will breed worms in so many ways few of which are; you can end up spending that hoarded stuff on sober issues e.g. sickness, court matters, calamities and any odd situation you can think of. But remember Proverbs 10v22 says that;

“The blessings of the LORD, it makes rich and adds no sorrow”

GOD wouldn’t bless you to spend it in the hospital NO!

The children of Israel left Egypt but Egypt remained in them and you know what? It is an enslaving mentality because their needs were always directed to Pharaoh instead of GOD. While but the former has limited resources the later has more than enough. That was what HE was trying to correct when HE said there should be no hoarding; meaning that HE was able to provide as much as HE has done today every other day till the earth fizzles out. This HE also confirmed in the in Matthew 6v11 saying;

“...give us this day our daily bread”

We have to appreciate the fact that He daily loads us with His blessings even more than we can contain. Interestingly everything we take from God leaves more to be taken. All we need is daily bread; it will be more enough to cover other bills.

Now, the new mentality should be that GOD will provide the need for every day and that I don’t need to hoard in form of preservation. Why reserve the old when you can get a new for the same purpose, that’s just it. And that the government is not responsible for your provision, God is. Don’t return to Egypt mentally where Pharaoh is their provider.
If sincerely you are born again and  are washed by the blood of that Lamb  that was slain, then you are no more a slave but a child, the bible says in John 1v12 that;

“To as many that received Him, to them gave HE the right to be called the SONS and DAUGHTERS OF GOD...”

So you are now children and are legally entitled to daily provision. And of course the word is available for your renewal concerning these things, knowing that it is impossible for God to lie and whatever He promises to do He is able and will do it Ephesians 3v20. God will rather not say a thing than say something and not do it. Provision for everyday you will ever spend on earth has been made by God, all you need do now is simply claim it by declaring “I have all my need met according to God’s riches in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4v19

It is important that I alert you of the fact that this hoarding mentality is a self centered one that does not allow for you to be a blessing which you are meant to be to people. God will never be happy with you and you are bound to suffer. We are called and equipped to be blessings to the world. God will cease such flow of provision and suddenly such people experience dryness. God only releases His blessings to only people He knows will spread it. In other words bless the kingdom. Don’t hold on to anything, be flexible and not rigid.

See you again tomorrow.
