As a way of concluding on the subject "on your way to Emmaus" lets see a few more things worthy taking to heart;
Be Hospitable
If
there is anyone that has left you for one reason or the other, it is most
likely because that person’s time with you is up. God sends people across your
path and even you across some others path for you make them better or make you
better. We are sent across each other’s path to add value to each other.
Unfortunately, many are very repulsive and sincerely without any level of
exaggeration I know what I am talking about. People could be so unfriendly; you
can only enjoy the friendship of some people for a while after which you are in
trouble unnecessarily. They will complain at the slightest opportunity they
have, don’t let me dig into details because I believe many of you including
have experienced such.
Things
don’t work that way friends; you have got to be friendly all the way. Jesus a
supposed stranger joined these disciples as they journeyed and they were too
friendly not to allow Him even to the extent of allowing Him join their
discussion. Some might be nice enough to give a ride but to utter a word will
be going the extra mile for them.
You
might still be wondering, these disciples weren’t travelling by any vehicle so
why did a stranger on a journey along their path join himself to them?
This
further expatiates on the importance of partnership or fellowship. The results
of two are always more and better than that of one. Every one you come in
contact with is on a mission to either gain from you or you from him/her or
even vice versa. So everyone that
crosses your path in life does so for a purpose connected to God; this should
interest you the most and should inspire you to be accommodating and hospitable
as you journey to your Emmaus.
Get
their opinion about the reason why you journey which is Jesus; tell them what
they don’t know you can’t imagine how much of a blessing you could be if you
will imbibe everyone in your sphere of contact into Christ life. Constrain them
and don’t let them go astray because they are the reason why you carry the
message you carry on your inside.
Conclusively,
your journey through life is that similar to that of those disciples in our
text and you can only get Jesus’ attention by discussing Him and you can even
go further to constraining Him to stay with you by further discussing Him and I
tell you, you will be opened up to the best life you can ever imagine.
