“...behold
all things are become new” 2 Cor 5:17
The
amount of glory you radiate in your lifetime is essentially determined by how
close you are to God. I have said times and again that the shinning effect on
angels at their appearance isn’t part of their making but a result of their continuous
appearing in God’s presence who is light.
Hence
talking about a new dawn; by this it could apply to so many events of life however,
two words will be constant and re-occurring and they are “new” and “beginning”
in other words, whatever event that would be referred to as a new dawn must
possess both qualities. Going by our opening verse, we are being told when read
in full that change is one constant phenomenon when anyone comes in contact
with Jesus in other words, you can intermittently substitute change for Jesus
and vice-versa. There are lots of people who can testify to this truth if
called to do so; the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5; the man
born blind in John 9; the paralytic in Mark 2; Peter the impoverished fisherman
in Luke 5; the man with the withered hand in Mark 3, we can go on and on like
that to buttress my point that meeting Jesus is equivalent to meeting change.
However,
unlike when approaching a festival such as Christmas when everywhere will show
indications of such upcoming event by reason of preparations; new dawns come
without any initial announcement or warning. The day, hour or even minute before
every new dawn recorded in scripture was like every other day in other words,
it’s always unplanned for also not expected; it is always a sudden event. For instance,
the man at the pool of Bethesda who had resolved to fate wasn’t expecting any
change again haven spent about thirty-eight good years in that state; this
accounted for his reactions when change (Jesus) showed up because he wasn’t expecting
Him putting so many things into consideration, John 5:1-11. The summary was
that Jesus came through for him.
Now,
it is very normal for you to think it is a coincidence that the Holy Spirit is
talking about a new dawn today because it is Nigeria’s independence-day, no! There
is no event that takes place in this kingdom that is a coincidence; they are as
planned. Things are done on earth as they are in Heaven and not the other way
around. However, Romans 15:4 reveals to us that scriptures were written for our
learning in other words, we are to take is a pattern of life, Joshua 1:8. So,
it is a little easier for us to know when a new dawn is approaching or as come
and here are a few symptoms;
-Business
will be zero-productive as in the case of Peter in Luke 5:1-7
-Debts
and bills to be offset will be at its peak, 2King 4:1-7
-Your
health status would have grown worse into a frightening state, John 5
-Feeding
could even become a problem as in John 6
-Your
case could even be as good as stinking Lazarus or imprisoned Joseph in John 11
and Gen 39 respectively just to mention a few.
Conclusively,
it is a new dawn for you as well as it is for Nigeria. However, it doesn’t
matter for how long you have romanced your predicament; your change has come
now in Jesus name.
Congratulations
and happy independence to Nigeria!
