TAKE UP YOUR BED

Still basking in the spirit of a new beginning; I bless God for His blessings upon our lives and much more upon my country Nigeria. My friends across the globe shouldn’t feel jealous about this because the God I publish on through this blog isn’t a partial one you can therefore be rest assured that He is also carrying out great projects in your various countries and individual lives.

Hence, we serve a progressive God in other words; He never stops at the best but better than the best. One might be wondering what could be better than having a new dawn; knowing that the appearing of Jesus on any scene signifies a change of story. I will be taking you a step further by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus always creates scenes wherever He goes. After He has declared a new beginning there is a need for you to take up your bed for that new dawn to materialize. Such bed as need to be taken up is that seemingly comfort zone in an unwanted zone of your life. The paralytic man was lowered unto Jesus in the auditorium on a bed however, on his healing he had the responsibility to possess the bed to really show that he was healed, Mark 2:9. The impotent man who had spent about thirty-eight years at the pool of Bethesda also had to do same, John 5:8 etc.
Going through the above and many more, you will discover that following every command by Jesus that anyone should “arise” is also the command to take up their beds because for as long as those beds still exist, there is a high probability of going back to it; this also reveals to us that those beds (thoughts, mentality, vision, belief etc) might even require being destroyed lest it be an option or return. That is why if you have not given your life to Jesus, you’ll have to do it now for old things to really pass away. Say after me; “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner, please forgive all my trespasses, wash me in Your blood and give me a new beginning as I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour from now on, Amen”
Another character in scripture who took up his bed on receiving the anointing for exploits in ministry was Elijah; we were told that he killed the yoke of Oxen with which he ploughed and boiled their meat for people around to really show that he has stepped forward, 1Kings 19:21. Taking up your bed will require taking drastic actions at this time. Sow that seed now; don’t allow what you’ll have left determine the offering you give to God. Try getting up from that sick bed now. Go and re-run that test. Declare your freedom from debt. Try seeing without using those glasses. Get up without those crotchets etc.

The moral lesson to be learnt today is that for you to get a hold of your miracle truly by faith i.e. believing the unseen, you will have to do away with the seen to really show that you believe God’s declaration of a new dawn. Stop seeing your country in a critical state; stop seeing you in debt; stop seeing yourself as sick and start seeing a new dawn as declared by God yesterday which of course is the direct opposite of the former.

Conclusively, it is only on the ground of faith that you can get a hold of God’s blessings. Take up that bed where you cry all day long and begin to celebrate because of a truth your season of celebration as come. Congratulations, you’re irreversibly blessed even now that your old bed has been taken care of; forward ever and backward never. God bless you!
