THE SAINTS

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints of and of the household of God” Ephesians 19vs22

We have at different time misinterpreted the word saint for some Holy persons in quote. But the scripture above reveals that every genuine born again child of God is a saint. So, as long as you are redeemed and built upon Jesus Christ as your foundation, you share in the heritage of the saints in heaven which is our natural habitat, that’s why Apostle Paul calls us fellow citizens with the saints.

Very important to note is the fact that, we are called to be saints and not of self will, 1corinthians 1vs2. The bible also says that we were saved by grace long before we came into this world, Ephesians 2vs8.

Nevertheless, these are all products and rewards for our acts of faith. Little wonder God calls children His heritage and reward, for what? your acts of faith of course. And that’s why the devil has gone crazy.

“The thief cometh not, but to steal and to kill and to destroy...” John 10vs10

The moment the devil is able to capture your faith, you remain enslaved to him. And one of the ways he captures your faith is enticing you away from the source of faith through friends, material wealth and official meetings etc. Just like the prodigal son in Luke 15vs11-32 who spent all he had in riotous living and was enslaved to a citizen of that country until he came back to his senses, found his way back home and was back again on the mother eagle’s wings. In the same vein many in the body of Christian today are enslaved to the citizens of a country (the earth) they are supposed to influence, subdue, replenish and colonize with kingdom virtues and lifestyles just because of our ignorance of the device of the devil pushing us away from the place of grace where everything answers to us at the snap of a finger to being a beggarly Christian.

Apostle Peter fell victim even after being warned of our Lord Jesus save that He had prayed for him in advance, Luke 22vs31-32. That prayer is still effective today if only we will be fed up of where we are and take bold steps, come to our senses as Peter and the prodigal son did respectively in Luke 22vs62 and Luke 15vs17 respectively. He is faithful and just to forgive you; He will embrace you and restore your lost dignity, change your garments and even throw a party of the highest order for you. Heaven will smile at you and everything on earth will respond to your call once again.

Have you been in want for long and fed on swine’s husk long enough then it’s your turn to be celebrated. God bless u.
