GOD’S WORD AND YOU (2)

“For the word of God  is LIVING and ACTIVE, SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGED SWORD, IT PENETRATES even to the dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it JUDGES the thoughts and attitude of the heart” Hebrew 4v12

Now let’s look at certain qualities of the word that puts you in command as well as give you an eternal drive in life. I see you gaining speed from now on in Jesus name. However, what you believe is what you speak forth according to 2Corinthians 4v13b. Your world is a summary of you words. 

Something happened very humbling some time ago as I traveled in a car. The driver was on top speed which I liked so much but this man didn’t have the right to that speed because he didn’t have good tyres and his motive for speeding was to make money which wasn’t good enough to risk one’s life. Hence as we traveled the front left tyre exploded and because I was sitting in front I immediately laid my hand on the dash board and said repeatedly “the blood of Jesus” and the car came to rest. This is an event that had claimed many lives.

What am I driving at? It is what you have on your inside that comes out when trouble comes. Proverbs 24v10 says that if you faint in the day of adversity that means your strength is little. God’s word is power in fact Deuteronomy 32v47 says it is your life and it is a lot of wisdom to have lots of it in you so as to stand in the days of adversity such as we are in today. We will look at the word's qualities subsequently from tomorrow.
