ON FIRE FOR GOD (3)

REJECT BEING AN EX
The worst that could ever happen to any man is to be an ex-champion in any sphere of life. It is said that the down-turn of the rich isn’t worthy to be beheld but for the wretched there is hope.

Those who have once been rich and now hardly find daily bread or who have once lived divinely healthy etc know what I am talking about better and I am sure you wouldn’t want to be one by reason of their story. I can give countless examples;

Samson who single handily killed three thousand men with just a jaw bone of an ass became a slave in the territory of his enemies, Judges 16v21. King Solomon who was recorded to have been the richest King that ever lived became so poor in his later days by reason of following the gods of his wives and concubines that he had to impose very high taxes on the people on till they could hardly breathe under the load, 2Chronicles 10v4 .

We can go on and on like this but I will like you to have an uncontrollable hatred for becoming an ex in whatever you do. Why must you reject being an ex? Simple! 2Corinthians 5v17 says;

“Therefore if anyone be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold all things are become new”

The promise of old things passing away and all things becoming new is unto them that “be in Christ”. Those that “be in Christ” are those that are grounded in Him; those that have been approved by God by reason of continuous study in the word, 2Timothy 2v15.

Conclusively, it will take a man with God on his inside to mark the sands of time and such one as has determined to carry God on his inside i.e. one who has made God the reason for his living have overcome the world and her troubles. Hence, for you to retain the burn in God you must remain in Christ. Be wise!
