In
case you are already wondering, what does he have yet to say about Jesus; we
already know He is God the son etc. I will not beat too much about the bush
because I want to join me belief with your belief to conclude that you already
know so much about but this one thing.
Jesus
as you may know His God according to John 1:1 and in Him all things consist
i.e. we live, move and have our being, Acts 17:28, Col 1:17. But just one more
thing is worth noting in 2Corinthians 5:17. You might already be wondering; I
am aware it is a very popular scripture; I thought the same when I caught this
Revelation as well. It reads thus;
“Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new”
From
the above scripture you will discover that one word that describes Jesus is
“change”. In other word, nobody come to Jesus or vice versa that ever remains
the same. A few examples from scriptures;
Firstly
in Mark 2, a young man was brought to Jesus paralyzed and he returned whole,
walking, jumping and rejoicing back home.
Secondly
the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34, went in the press stinking
from her issue of continuous menstrual flow which had left her a reproach to
touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. The result was glaring to all because the
ailment which had defied all possible solutions and had lasted for about twelve
years left her whole. She met Jesus sick and returned healthy.
Thirdly,
when Peter met Jesus he was a very poor fisherman. There was nothing to show
for his existence or profession until he met Jesus. His business was
practically dragging but by the time he was going home, he was an international
businessman who now worked with partners. We can go on and on like this when it
comes to touching the transformer encountered by situations that met Jesus.
2Corinthians
5:17 reads again;
“Therefore
if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new”
Now,
in case you are yet to surrender your life to Jesus who alone can give lasting
peace and joy. He calls in Matthew 11:28;
“Come
unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”
Everybody including me was at one point or the other
labouring and heavy laden until we met Jesus and I can say boldly that He has
really been good to me. You don’t need any further motivation except you are
not tired of where you are, your health, carrier, job, ministry, marriage,
relationship, business statuses. Do you know Jesus? Accept Him now by saying
this prayer after me please; “Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner,
please forgive all my trespasses, wash me in Your blood and give me a new
beginning as I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour from now on, Amen”
Congratulations!
We will talk more about “Jesus” some other time of course; you know He is the
most popular, richest and most influential in the whole world yesterday, today
and for ever so we can never run out of talking about Jesus. Do I hear you
shout “Jesus”?
