STANDING FIRM TO BE EXCELLENT

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong” 1Cor 16:13

Friends, it is not enough to thirst for excellence but you must have a firm standing to shoulder excellence. Excellence is not a child’s play but the school of men. Isaiah 9:6 tells us that excellent men/women are broad shouldered. You stand is key to attaining excellence in any sphere of life. Hence, beside the fact that an excellent Christian must possess divine wisdom, live a life of praise and be discipline, he must above all, stand firm in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Your stand in faith is what determines how excellent you will be in life. Now that stand MUST be on your faith in Christ.

WHAT MAKES AN EXCELLENT CHRISTIAN TO STAND FIRM?

1                   Your faith must be on Jesus Christ only. He can never fail; there is assurance that you too will never fail as long as you are standing on Him.

2                   What you know about the Lord Jesus Christ is also important. He is alive forever more, Rev 1:18. If this is all you believe about him ,it is enough for you ,he that is alive will help you to overcome any problem

3                   The devil will only flee from that Christian who has made up his mind never to backslide.

Conclusively, an excellent Christian must make up his mind that once God has delivered him from the world, he will never go back unto it again and that determination must be strong because the world loves to attract people back to itself with glittering and lustful things, Gal 5:1. Keep sharing your salvation experience with anybody that comes your way, Matt 5:19-20. With prayer and constant fellowship with the brethren, 1Thesa 5:17, Heb 10:25. Study the word, Meditate on it and do it, Psl 1:1-3. Those who stand firm will wear a crown in this world and in Heaven. However the crown can be taken away, beware! God bless you.
